Costa Rica stretches from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, over a distance of 320 kilometers. A diversity of landscapes and micro-climates, which can be enjoyed in a single day, makes this a paradisiacal destination. In only 51,000 km2, a traveller can find sun and surf, adventure, nature and culture, each of which will satisfy the taste of thousands of tourists that see Costa Rica as their ideal vacation spot.

Costa Rica is in a privileged position in the heart of Central America, with spectacular beaches touched by the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, separated only by a 3-hour drive or a 45-minute flight.

The Caribbean region stands out for its diverse aquatic ecosystems and its black and white sandy beaches, ideal to enjoy activities revolving around nature and sea, such as recreational fishing and scuba diving in crystal-clear waters, or just enjoying the sun or a walk along the beach.

The Pacific region offers major tourist centers, and its beaches, favorite for surfing, include Esterillos, Jacó, Hermosa, Boca Barranca and the nearby National Park “Marino Ballena,” without forgetting the Golfito area, home to the famous "long left hand wave."
